| Women in the 40th Renaissance Year |
|
The empowerment of women and their crucial role in Oman’s renaissance was highlighted in 2009 by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos’s directive to accord attention to women. As a result a symposium on women was held in October 2009 and an annual National Women’s Day named.
Now in its fourth year, the Women in Business Conference has been championing the cause of women fulfilling their potential in business and entrepreneurship since 2006, bringing together business professionals from a variety of businesses and industries, as well as entrepreneurs and students, to explore current critical issues specifically related to women in the business environment.
The 2010 conference will also focus on IT technology in business and the Information and Technology Association will platform their initiative ‘Women and Information and Communication Technology (ICT)’.
To celebrate the 40th Renaissance, Envent are offering delegates who register early will have the chance to win the opportunity for business ‘matchmaking’ with similar businesses overseas providing the chance of sharing information and developing international contacts.
